CBSE announces categories of students eligible to appear for improvement exam

The Central Boards of Secondary Education (CBSE) has announced the categories of students who are eligible to appear for the Optional and Compartment Examination foe Class X and XII scheduled to be conducted from 25th August, 2021.

The categories of regular candidates who are eligible to appear for the examination are:

  1. Those who have been declared passed but are not satisfied with the assessment based on the Tabulation Policy
  2. Students who are not able to meet the qualifying criteria and are placed in the compartment category
  3. Candidates whose marks could not be computed on the basis of the Tabulation Policy 2021
  4. Candidates who have appeared as regular candidates with 6 subjects and have been declared pass but have not been able to clear any one subject from the main five subjects.

The categories of private candidates who may appear for the exam are:

  1. Failed candidates of previous years registered as private candidates for Main Examination 2021
  2. Improvement candidates registered as private candidates for Main Examination 2021
  3. Candidates registered under additional subject category for Main Examination 2021
  4. Second chance Compartment Candidates (2019)
  5. Second chance compartment Candidates (2020)
  6. Women, Patrachar and CWSN candidates of Delhi registered as private candidates for Main Examination 2021

No fees is payable to appear for this examination.
