The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has announced the dates for filing applications for verification of marks, obtaining photo copy of evaluated answer books and re-evaluation of the answer books for the Class X and XII examinations for the academic year, 2021-22.
The relevant dates for filing application for both Classes X and XII are as follows:
Verification of Marks:
Duration of filing application: 26/07/2022 to 28/07/2022
Fees: Rs. 500 per subject
Obtaining photo copy of evaluated answer books
Duration of filing application: 08/08/2022 to 09/08/2022
Fees: Rs. 700 per subject
Duration of filing application: 13/08/2022 to 14/08/2022
Fees: Rs. 100 per question
CBSE has also announced that the candidates who were unable to qualify in the Board examinations will be allowed to appear in compartment exams which are scheduled to begin August 23rd and continue till August 25th. The syllabus for the examination will be the same as that of Term 2 of the Board examinations.
The test will be administered using the Term 2 exam syllabus. Students who applied for 6 or more subjects but were unable to pass any of the first 5 subjects, with the exception of language, declared pass by substituting the sixth subject from the failed subject are also permitted in compartment examinations to enhance performance in the failed subject.
CBSE Class X and XII results were declared on July 22, 2022. The pass percentage for Class X was 94.40% while that for Class XII was 92.71%. The Trivandrum region outperformed other regions as reported here.
The CBSE also released a press release clarifying how the final marks of students combining both terms was calculated. The Term 1 weightage is 30% while the weightage given to the marks of Term 2 is 70%. The official notification in this regard can be found here.
