The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has released sample question papers for Classes X and XII for the academic year 2022-23 on its website cbseacademic.nic.in and cbse.gov.in . In addition to the same, the Board has also uploaded the marking scheme for each subject.

The Mint reported that the official statement released by the CBSE said, “The Board issues Sample Question Papers (SQPs) and Marking Schemes for classes X and XII to provide a broad template to serve as a guide for ensuring uniformity and proper coverage of the curricula. Further, SQPs give a broad understanding about the Question Paper Design and need to be used for classroom teaching and learning activities with an overall focus on promoting the application of concepts in real-life and holistic learning.”

As announced by the Board earlier, the Board examinations will not be conducted in two terms as in the previous year, where the Board was forced to take such measures owing to the Covid pandemic situation in the country. Instead, they will be held in one single term as it used to be held in pre-Covid times. In 2021, the examination could not be held at all and results were declared on the basis of an assessment scheme.
