CBSE Term II Board examinations to begin on April 26

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has announced that it will conduct the Term II Board examinations for Classes X and XII from April 26, 2022.

The CBSE circular in this regard reads as under:

“CBSE vide Circular No.Acad-51/2021 dated 5th July, 2021, notified that in the session 2021-2022, Board Examinations would be conducted in two terms, i.e., Term I and Term II. This decision was taken due to the uncertainty arising out of COVID19 Pandemic.

Term I examinations have already been conducted by the Board recently. The Board after discussions with various stakeholders and taking into consideration the COVID-19 Pandemic situation in the country has decided to conduct the Term II examinations in offline mode as per the following:-

1. Term II Theory examinations will commence from 26″ April, 2022.

2. The pattern of the question papers will be the same as that of Sample Question Papers hosted on Board’s Website.

3. The students will appear in the examinations from the allotted examination centres as done during the preceding years.

4. The Date Sheet for Classes X and XII will be released soon and the same will be available on Board’s website at

Messages/information spreading on social media may be considered only after verifying the facts available on the Board’s website.”

The CBSE has uploaded sample question papers and marking scheme for the academic year 2021-22 for Class X here and for Class XII here.

The results of the Term 1 examinations, which were held in November and December 2021 have not yet been declared by the CBSE and are expected to be out soon. The CBSE has requested students to not rely on news gathered from social media and instead rely on the Board’s website for relevant information. Students have been asked to keep checking the CBSE website for further updates.
