CISCE: Class XII Mathematics examination postponed to December 12

The Council for the Indian School Certificate Examination (CISCE) has announced that the Term 1 examination for Mathematics for Class XII (ISC) which was scheduled to be held on November 29 has been postponed to December 12, 2021 at 2.00 pm.

“The ISC Year 2021- 2022 Semester 1 MATHEMATICS Examination scheduled for Monday, November 29, 2021, at 2.00 pm, has been postponed due to reasons beyond our control. The said Examination will now be conducted on Sunday, December 12, 2021, at 2.00 pm”, the notice uploaded on the website of the CISCE reads.

The CISCE had earlier announced that the use of calculators  would be permitted for Class XII (ISC) students during the examination. The board issued a circular stating that “candidates are permitted to use Casio fx – 82 MS (Scientific Calculator) or calculators of other makes with similar functions.” Read more here.

The Class XII (ISC) examinations began on November 22 and are scheduled to conclude on December 20, 2021. The Term 1 or Semester 1 examinations are in the form of MCQs while the second term scheduled to be held in March will be subjective. The board had originally announced that it would hold the Term 1 examinations in online mode. However, it later modified its decision and announced that they would be held in offline mode.

The Term 1 examinations are being conducted on an question paper cum answer booklet. Students must sign on the top page of the booklet and also write their Unique ID number in the space provided for the same. Students must use only blue or black ink to write on the booklet.
