The Government of Kerala has decided to lift the night curfew and Sunday lockdown and also to reopen higher educational institutions from October 4, reported the Hindustan Times.
The Government has decided to permit polytechnic colleges and institutions offering technical and medical courses to function from October 4. It also said that final year students and teachers who have received at least one dose of the vaccine will be allowed to attend undergraduate and post graduate courses.
However, the decision on reopening schools will be taken later. The Supreme Court’s decision on the State’s decision to hold Class XI exams offline may also have an impact on the State’s decision.
