Kerala Plus Two results declared: 83.87% passed

The results of the Plus Two (Class 12) examinations for the academic year 2021-22 were declared by te Department of Higher Secondary Education (DHSE) today. The examinations were conducted between 9.45 am and 12.30 pm from March 30, 2022 to April 22, 2022.

In addition to the above websites, the results of the examination can also be accessed through the mobile apps SAPHALAM 2022, iEXAMS Kerala and PRD Live. In order to use the apps, the students will have to download the app from the play store and sign in by entering the required details. The details include the student’s name, date of birth, roll number etc. Once downloaded, the candidates will be able to print the same for their record and reference.

78 schools have recorded a 100% pass. Kozhikode has recorded the highest pass percentage of 87.79% while Wayanad has the lowest pass percentage of 75.07%. The government schools have recorded an overall pass percentage of 81.72%, while aided schools reported 86.02% and unaided schools 81.12%. The pass percentae in girls is higher than that in boys, i.e., 89.29% girls passed the examination as against 77.82% boys.

As reported by the Indian Express, the pass percentage for Plus Two this year is 83.87%. The report states that last year, the overall pass percentage was 87.94 per cent.The science stream had a pass percentage of 90.52%, while those for commerce and arts were 89.13% and 80.04% respectively.

To be eligible, students need to secure D+ or above grade for all subjects with 30% scores in theory alone and an aggregate total of 30% in theory, practical evaluation and continuous evaluation taken together.

The press release reads that this year the result was calculated by taking into account the first and second year scores. However, for Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics double valuation system was adopted. Students who are unhappy with their results can apply for revaluation/photocopy/scrutiny of all subjects except revaluation of Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics of March 2022 examination from June 22, 2022 onwards.
