Kerala police responsible for students’ safety once schools reopen

The Government of Kerala has given the responsibility of the safety of students t the police once schools reopen on November 1 reported Onmanorama. The Chief Minister said that necessary instructions were already given to the state police and the health and education department to prepare a detailed project report.

” The station house officer in-charge of a police station would call a meeting of managers and the headmasters of schools in the vicinity to discuss the students’ safety issues. The police should ensure the efficacy of school vehicles.”, the Chief Minister reportedly said.
School buses are to be repaired by 20 October and school bus drivers should have at least 10 years experience.
